Strategies for Addressing Short-Term Scarcity:

Municipal water providers have several options for acquiring or stretching water supplies in times of short-term ­scarcity.  Respondents were given a list of 8 such options and asked to list the 3 best options.  The Relative Preference (RP*) ranking for each option was then calculated.  The results for Oregon are displayed in the graph below.

Strategies for Addressing Long-Term Scarcity:

Long-term water development strategies are more capital and construction intensive, and require longer-term planning.  Respondents were given a list of 8 such strategies and were again asked to list the 3 best options.  The RP ranking for each option was then calculated.  The results for Oregon are displayed in the graph below
